We helped PizzaExpress reimagine their digital dining experience in just 14 weeks.

High Street restaurants have been under huge pressure for years, with even well-established and once-loved chains shutting up shop. Add to this climate a pandemic and all the pressures that come with it, and PizzaExpress needed to innovate, fast.

To survive, PizzaExpress not only needed to modernise their loyalty experience, but they also needed to set a new standard for excellence in the casual dining space.

PizzaExpress is built on messy, sharing, fun moments - whether that's in a restaurant, sharing a pizza from Tesco, or ordering dough balls through Deliveroo. So, we needed to create an experience that both facilitated and encouraged these moments. This meant that no matter when customers engaged with PizzaExpress, they would always be rewarded.

In just 14 weeks we prototyped, tested and designed the next generation of dining apps – from developing the proposition, to crafting the visual, verbal and user experience. 

By creating a connected commerce and loyalty experience, we delivered a platform for innovation and growth, setting PizzaExpress up for future success.
