Running a High Street restaurant isn't a piece of cake, or a slice of pizza for that matter. Even well-established and once-loved chains are shutting up shop.
To survive, PizzaExpress knew they not only needed to modernise their loyalty experience, but they also needed to set a new standard for excellence in the casual dining space. And they needed to do it fast.
PizzaExpress is built on messy, sharing, fun moments - whether that's in a restaurant, sharing a pizza from Tesco, or ordering dough balls through Deliveroo. So, we needed to create an experience that both facilitated and encouraged these moments. This meant that no matter when customers engaged with PizzaExpress, they would always be rewarded.
In a remarkable 14-week timeframe, we prototyped, tested, and designed the next generation dining app. This comprehensive effort included developing the proposition, refining the visual, verbal, and user experience, and ensuring a connected commerce and loyalty experience.
Our collaboration with PizzaExpress has paved the way for a renewed customer relationship and future success.
